The challenge

Specsavers wanted a trusted provider to deliver a highly reliable, 24/7 managed online facility enabling customers to ‘try on’ frames in the comfort of their own home.

The solution

Using KCOM’s VM Hosting facility, Specsavers has its unique Digital Mirror application hosted in a state of the art data centre. The site has a 100 per cent service guarantee and the VM platform is designed to handle fluctuations in demand. This provides a cost effective solution as Specsavers is billed based on the amount of traffic to the site. Since its launch over 3.5 million customers have tried on 63 million frames through the new service.
