Our responsibility

Community grants

Our people believe in supporting worthwhile causes close to their hearts. With this in mind, we offer quarterly grants of £150, £250 and £500 and invite applications from across the Group. The grants should aim to make a difference to the wider community and can be for charities employees work for, sports teams or community groups that need funding.

In the past year, we have awarded 12 grants including financial assistance supporting an afterschool club’s purchase of IT equipment, security fencing for a cricket ground and funding a day trip for a local mencap group.

Similarly, we promote the availability of grants in the local media and accept applications from a variety of community groups seeking financial assistance. Since their launce in 2006, these grants have made a real difference to many schools, local projects and organisations in Hull and East Yorkshire.
