Health and safety

The KCOM Group recognises that effective provision for health and safety is fundamental to the wellbeing of the Company, its employees and members of the public with whom we come into contact. We believe that a pro-active health and safety culture is an important element of our success.

Key to maintaining this approach is shared ownership and responsibility for health and safety. This is led by our Board of Directors, through all Directors, Managers and Employees and supported by a team of health and safety professionals.

We are currently operating under five key strategic aims:

  • Strategic Aim 1: Ensure statutory compliance with all relevant health and safety law
  • Strategic Aim 2: Ensure the effective leadership of health and safety
  • Strategic Aim 3: Promote a positive health and safety culture
  • Strategic Aim 4: Improve “Health” in the workplace
  • Strategic Aim 5: To adopt “Best Practice” models for health and safety management.
