As a communications technology company, we actively encourage our shareholders to accept documents – such as interim and annual reports and Notices of Meetings – via electronic communications rather than through the post.
In 2000 we printed and posted 100,000 full Annual reports to shareholders. Since then, through changes in legislation and with the help of our shareholders, this distribution is now down to 4,300. Not only does this deliver a huge saving, both environmentally and financially, but there is still more we can still do, which is why we encourage our shareholders to receive information electronically.
A shareholder who opts to receive information electronically is much more informed. Throughout the year a number of trading updates for investors are released to the London Stock Exchange and added to our website. These are not mailed to shareholders. However, by providing us with their email address we are able to notify shareholders when these updates become available.
If you choose to receive communications electronically, in future, each time we publish a shareholder report or Notice of Meeting, we will send you an email telling you about it with a link to our website where you can read or download the document at your leisure.
Registering for electronic communication is very straight forward and is done via our share portal, a secure internet based platform provided by Link Asset Services, our registrar. Access the portal www.signalshares.com and then you need to select the ‘ECommunications’ button.
